Sometimes I look at myself and think, is this who I'm supposed to be.....
Do I fit in with what's around Me....what side do I belong to?
Cause to me I don't look like any side but Me.

Star Of The Month
That’s what I Am!
Singer/Songwriter
For some time now I have wanted to dedicate a monthly post to some of the people that I believe have put all they have into their passion, no matter what the outcome is/was. I really admire when people have a heart for something and work towards becoming the best they can be to make what they do come to light.
This month I bring to your attention a singer/songwriter by the name of Manny ‘Emanuel’ DeAnda. I chose Manny because I love his drive and passion for his craft. While working hard on making himself known for what he does best, he has stayed true to himself and to the people around him.
He continued to keep God first in pursuing a career in this crazy music industry.
Not only is Emanuel a great, hard working man but he also has an amazing voice and tone that you just get lost in it.
Emanuel ‘Manny’ DeAnda was born and raised in the city of Pittsburgh P.A.
Manny attended Westing House High School where he became a part of the high school choir and went on to meet new people.
Manny teamed up with two friends to form the group ‘Crave’ which gave him his first taste of the music industry. With dedication, hard work and passion Crave went on to achieving 3 successful number 1 singles at their local radio station, they also predicated in charity work with The Creative Corner, American Red Cross and a Hurricane Katrina benefit which went on to earning them a ‘Key to the City’ & declared ‘Crave Day’ in June 2007.
Staying focused on their passion for music, the group made progress and began touring with Bluestar Entertainment recording group Pretty Ricky.
All of which was a learning experience for Manny that allowed him to go further in pursuing his goals, of becoming a successful musical artist.
In the summer of 2008 Emanuel signed with Pretty Ricky and Bluestar Entertainment where he performed under the moniker “Lingerie”. During this time, Emanuel made 6 appearances on BET's 106 & Park; as well as appearing on the Monique Show. He has performed in shows from the south, west and the east coast, Canada and abroad. With all his hard work going into his passion, Manny and the other Pretty Ricky members teamed up with two of R&B's legends H Town and Jodeci to bring their fans ‘Knocking Your Heels Off’ which went on to receive more than 22million views. Emanuel has also done songs with other big names in the industry; a fan of diverse artists such as Michael Jackson, Donnie Hathaway, Marvin Gaye, Guy, Jodeci, Musiq Soulchild and R. Kelly.
2012 has been a year of new things for Emanuel, an accomplished singer, songwriter and self taught pianist. He is now pursuing a solo career, which will allow him to share with his audience the sultry soul-tinged songs he's made to have you boom with all who hear them through his incredible voice.
I believe 2013 is going to be an amazing year for Manny ‘Emanuel’ DeAnda, as he continues to use the gift that God has bestowed upon him to inspire others in a true and positive way. The light within him will keep on shining.

Achieving Your Dream
I'm a big believer of achieving your dreams, and no matter your age you always have a chance to make those dreams come true.
The past year has been one that I will never forget, as September 2011 was the month I took my first step in achieving my dream. I enrolled into college to study Art and Design (Fashion), it was a new and different environment for me as all the girls in my class were just coming out of high school or under 19 years old apart from one lady that started sometime after.

I enrolled into college to study Art and Design (Fashion), it was a new and different environment for me as all the girls in my class were just coming out of high school or under 19 years old apart from one lady that started sometime after.
At first my goal was to keep my head down and get the work done in order to achieve the grades to pass, but as the weeks and months went by it became more than just keeping my head down and trying to focus (although I did that) I found myself becoming friends with a group of girls that sat at a table near me. Each girl had their own personality and was different in every way. They all had a different work ethic and mentality, to which now I see that we all want different things out of life. We may take the same classes but we all think in a different ways and look for different outcomes.
There were times when I found the need to help some of the girls in my class with things they didn't understand, as I wanted everyone to achieve the best that they could but at the same time I didn't want to fall behind with my work.
Each work Unit that I had to complete was all new to me, having completed High School in 2002 thing had changed big time...lol... I got frustrated and would sit and just look at my work wondering if this would give me a good grade?? Knowing that I had to be in my zone so that I could get my best pieces out. I never gave up; even though I wasn't good at art but the Fashion design was my goal and being able to draw was apart of what I wanted to do. The Art was a big part of creating a Fashion piece because you use it all as inspiration.
There were times when I found the need to help some of the girls in my class with things they didn't understand, as I wanted everyone to achieve the best that they could but at the same time I didn't want to fall behind with my work.

Going to college was the first step towards my future and is one of my biggest achievements to date as I passed my Art and Design (Fashion) course with a *Distinction*. When I received my grade, I gave the biggest praise to my Lord, Saviour and Heavenly Father as I know that I would not have been able to have gotten through the year without Him. As much as I wish it was all me, it wasn't because I was given this talent by God for a reason and without His blessing I would not be here with the grades I achieved.

We have to learn how to encourage ourselves to achieve the goals that are waiting to move us up in life. Know there maybe some obstacles on the way, but there are ways of getting over them and learning from them.
So go for your Goal/Dreams and be a believer of yourself :)

Who Am I ?
The world didn't make you, so why let it change you?
For a while I've been thinking about what my next post was going to be. I went back and forth about what to write, not knowing that all along the points I wanted to make were the same.
Today I write the message that I have been eager to share all this time.
On Sunday at church, my Pastor spoke about knowing who you are, knowing your passion and having wisdom for the passion you hold. It made me think about the post that I had been wanting to write and inspired me to complete it.
As I witnessed a certain persons actions over the past 7 months, all that my Pastor had been speaking about and the question he posed: Who Am I? brought it all into perspective.
The first thing that would come to mind when responding is... I am me and you follow that by giving a description of what you do; only to find out that, that is not who you are.
We as people have put ourselves in boxes and yearn to be accepted by the world, whilst forgetting who we really are. (Children of God)
In the past 7 months I have seen a young girl transform herself into the likeness of someone she calls a friend. Each week there's a change, either her hair, clothes or they way she talks and the answers she gives. To me it's sad to watch this young girl lose herself in order to fit in with someone that doesn't fully know who she is either.
The world we live in has taken control over the way we think about ourselves, and this has led to us believing that we are something that we are not. We were all made as individuals, created by the hand of God in his likeness but at the same time with differences, so we could go forth in the world and stand as we are without having to change to be accepted by others.
As individuals we should be able to love ourselves for who we are and love others for who they are. We may have the same likes and dislikes as the person next to us, but that doesn't mean we're the same. We may shop in the same store and pick up the same t-shirt and jeans, but we won't wear them the same as we both have individual shapes and styles .You have to embrace who you are, appreciate your traits and love how you look, for there will never be quite another like you that walks this earth.
You are you and you must love who you are no matter what. You were made to look the way you look, to feel the things you feel, to express the things you express and to go forth in providing positivity and love to those that don't have.
Remember, LOVE Who you are and don't let the world change what it didn't spend time creating. God is love and creator of all.

Being out of education for so long made it feel a bit surreal when I got back in a class with people much younger than me, but the first day went better than I imagined and I am now 6 weeks into it and I am so proud of myself. As people, we constantly underestimate ourselves on our life journey and that means we can never fulfil our life goals and dreams.
When you have a passion for something you should never tell yourself you can't do it because you are the one missing out on achieving your dream and therefore unable to use it to benefit others. Remember ''Don't let your FEAR block your SUCCESS''
Working on the blessing and talent God has given me, means that I am able to pass my blessing on to someone else. Through learning, I'm able to teach, knowing that one persons talent is another persons blessings.

Periods of Love
When you think of Love, you don’t think about putting a time title to it. You think more about the people you Love and the way Love makes you feel, not how long it will last, although you do hope forever when it’s right. For now, let me challenge you to think about the periods of Love. Anniversaries, gifts associated with the periods of Love and the celebrations that come with time.
When two individuals get into a relationship, the first things on their minds are probably getting to know each other, hoping there will be chemistry, a spark, a real connection on many levels and then they take it from there. Young people/ young Lovers have something that may seem trivial to some, but they celebrate 2 week anniversaries, 1 month anniversaries so on and cheer “We’ve been together for ...!” In actual fact, there is nothing wrong with those little celebrations; their act shines light on their small steps towards years and years of fantastic, blessed Love. Big and small anniversaries are a way to commend themselves and be merry about the duration of the relationship they’re in that brings nothing but great joy to their lives.
Friends celebrate the length of their friendship. They celebrate the fact that they’ve been friends for 5 or 10 years and that is something great when you think about it. 5 and 10 years is actually a long time. People change, circumstances arise but the friendship is cherished, grows and gets stronger with time.
Going back to intimate relationships, anniversaries tend to be seen as more important, special and respected when the couple is married. The commitment between the two is held in higher regard, so from the wedding day the count up begins.
The wedding day is such a big occasion because the ceremony unites the couple as a whole, it binds them together with lasting Love for each other and creates the commitment and promise they must fulfil to one another forever more. Initial gifts to the married couple can come in many shapes, sizes and values but normally help the husband and wife as they come together in their marital home. After their first year, there are traditional anniversary gifts that are symbols for each year that come in different material types.

Love for Alice and her Bucket List
Fifteen year old Alice Pyne is a jolly young girl who is sadly suffering from a very severe case of a fatal type of cancer. Hodgkin’s Lymphoma – is the cancer of the white blood cells and is seriously spreading throughout her body. Although Alice has adapted the mind set of being in her last days of life, she is constantly smiling and spends some of her time writing a blog. Her blog called “Alice’s Bucket List - http://alicepyne.blogspot.com/” consists of daily updates in order for her to happily record what may be her last days doing all the things she wishes to do before she passes away. The concept of Alice’s Bucket List has become a viral thing over the past couple of days and its awareness is increasing rapidly. People internationally are attempting to make her bucket list a reality instead of just dreams written down. Big names such as Samsung, Justin Bieber, Channing Tatum, Ryan Seacrest, Katy Perry, This Morning and small name individuals have tweeted her hash tag #AlicesBucketList, mentioned her in statuses and passed her name on to others.
After only hearing about Alice’s sad case yesterday, June 10th 2011, I am so pleased to find out that many of the things she added to her list will certainly come true. Things such as meeting the well known English group Take That, owning a purple iPad and people signing up to be bone marrow donors will come to pass.
Although time is ticking for Alice who has a lot of things she wants to do, she remains positive and is surely an inspiration to the world. Her wishes are not at all large so we hope she is able to stay in a caravan, have a cinema room to herself, take professional photos with her friends and family, visit Cadbury's and keep the joy in her heart.
It is more than satisfying to see people come together, for the world to unite in love towards one person, for the world to seem smaller and much closer through assistance and care and I have to say it but it is more than a shame that things like this only happen through circumstances such as Alice’s.
The Loving Ourselves team is so glad that Alice is getting to live out her dreams, we are ecstatic about the increase of Love around the world and we hope that Love can continue to spread so virally throughout the world. Live life to the fullest
Many people like to predict the future; May 21st 2011, was the day the world was supposed to come to an end according to a pastor as it was January 1st 2000.
People always say life live to the fullest, but what does that mean to you?
What you may think is the fullest is only for a moment.
Life is a journey of Love, lessons, growth and an understanding.
Example of many peoples life at its fullest:
•Clubbing every night.
•Shopping like you got the money
•Going on holiday every chance you get
•Drinking alcohol till you don't remember what you did.
•Doing what ever seems fun at the time.
But is it really?
There is way more to life than hanging out and hitting the clubs. People tend to go through life doing fun things that only last a moment and has no impact or real meaning to or on anyones lives. You feel the joy of life more when you do something positive and it has an outstanding effect on someone that you may not know. Life is about reaching and teaching one another in all aspects of life. But we can all start by sharing the one gift that we all have LOVE.
Know that life is more lived and enjoyed when we love one another and when we love ourselves.
When you look back at the past few years of what you've done does it bring joy to you.?
The past 5 1/2 years of my life was a crazy one. At the age of 18-19 I became a business owner and I looked after children from 8.00am-6.00pm 5 days a week, and the joys of seeing the children go from 7months to 3years of age was something you will have to experience for yourselves. But nurturing them for those years was part of me living my life to the fullest because no child is the same and each child had their own effect on me. I loved them all differently. All the children I looked after became more than just a job, they became my family. From spending 10hrs a day 5 days a week 10months a year our bond developed .
So how are you living your life to the fullest? If you have goals or a vision go for it with Love and hard work otherwise you life is meaningless.
